501(c)(3) Transition

Naptown Stomp is transitioning into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Near the end of February 2025, Naptown Stomp held a vote with members seeking to transition the organization to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and the vote passed with 71% in favor.

For those curious as to how the change is going, here’s a summary of what’s going on.

What’s Happened So Far

March

501(c)(3) board began meeting with nonprofit lawyer
501(c)(3) board began drafting new bylaws – with direction from the lawyer

April

501(c)(3) board posted job for an Operations Manager

Organizing/running weekly lessons & dances
Coordinating with volunteers

Social media & sending out the newsletter
